Our Story
In the bustling streets of New York City, amidst the crowd of people at a birthday party, fate decided to bring together two souls – Ashishpal and Tripti. Their meeting was serendipitous in many ways; marked by laughter, shared stories, and the spark of connection. As all their friends skeptically observed their initial interactions, the connection grew, and they were witnessing the beginning of a love story.
Against the odds and to the surprise of many, Ash and Tripti found themselves drawn to each other in a way that defied expectations. Their friendship soon evolved into something deeper, guided by the whispers of destiny and the silent assurances of their hearts.
As their love journey unfolded, the quaint ambiance of “The Sea,” a charming restaurant nestled in the heart of New York, witnessed the magic of their first date. Little did they expect that this would be the very place he would purpose a year later. Surrounded by the aroma of delicious cuisine and the gentle melody of waves, she said yes, sealing their love amidst the ambiance of the place where it all began.
With the deal sealed, they began the process of planning a traditional, big fat Indian wedding! They envisioned a union that would unite not just two hearts, but two families, and two cultures; Ash being of Sikh/Punjabi background and Tripti being Hindu/Afghan.
Their wedding, a 5-day long affair set in Long Island, was a testament to their love and commitment. Amidst the vibrant colors and melodious tunes, they honored their heritage with a traditional Hindu ceremony, accompanied by the rich customs of a Sikh wedding, including a Mayan and Groom’s Jago. With over 450 beloved guests gathered to witness their union, Ash and Tripti exchanged vows, promising to stand by each other through every twist and turn that life may bring. As they danced under the starlit sky, surrounded by the love and blessings of their dear ones, they knew that their love story was just the beginning of forever.
